Terms of use
The rules for using KiloMate, in plain English. By using the website or app, you agree to them.

Who we are
KiloMate is run by Sabea Tech Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). Contact us at hello@kilomate.com.au.
General information, not medical advice
KiloMate helps you record food, training and body measurements, and gives general information. It isn't medical, dietary or fitness advice, and it doesn't replace a GP, an Accredited Practising Dietitian or another health professional. Talk to one before changing your diet or training, especially if you're pregnant, have a health condition or take medication.
If you have, or have had, an eating disorder, please talk to a health professional before tracking food. The Butterfly Foundation's helpline is 1800 33 4673.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to use KiloMate.
- Use an email address you control, and keep your devices secure: anyone with access to your email can sign in.
- You can stop using KiloMate and delete your account at any time in the app.
Your information
What you log belongs to you. You let us store and process it only to run KiloMate for you, as our privacy policy explains. You can download or delete it at any time.
Using KiloMate fairly
Don't misuse KiloMate: no attempts to access other people's accounts, interfere with the service, overload it, copy the food database in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Nutrition and exercise information
Food figures come from what you enter, from each fast-food chain's published Australian nutrition information, and from Open Food Facts, whose database is © Open Food Facts contributors and available under the Open Database License. These figures can be incomplete or out of date, and restaurant food can differ from what's published. Where a figure isn't known, KiloMate shows it as unknown rather than guessing. Check the label or the chain's information when it matters.
Calculators and estimates (calorie targets, one-rep max and similar) are rough guides based on published formulas, not measurements of your body.
Price
The KiloMate web app is free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price and what's included before you're asked to pay anything. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are also covered by Apple's or Google's terms.
Changes and availability
We're always improving KiloMate, so features may change. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever close KiloMate, we'll give you notice and time to download your data.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of KiloMate. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using KiloMate after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
